Room on the Broom

Based on the much-loved book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler

Jump on board the broom with the witch and her cat in Tall Stories’ fun-filled adaptation of Room on the Broom, the best-selling picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

The witch and her cat are travelling on their broomstick when they pick up some hitch-hikers – a friendly dog, a beautiful green bird and a frantic frog. But this broomstick’s not meant for five and – CRACK – it snaps in two... just as the hungry dragon appears!

Will there ever be room on the broom for everyone? Find out in the magical Olivier Award nominated show for everyone aged 3 and up.

Original way of presenting this. Really good songs for adults and kids. Our girls 6 & 4 loved it, as did Daddy.

  • Fun for all the family

We took our 18 month old daughter to see the show. We were a bit worried that 1 hour was going to be a bit too long and that despite having read the book and seen the 30 minute adaptation many, many times, she just wouldn't get it but she was thoroughly entertained by it. She loves dogs and cats and while she didn't really get the cat (played by a human), the second she saw the dog puppet appear she lit up and was laughing and pointing at it. I worried how the show was going to be padded out to 1 hour but the addition of the songs was clever and funny. There were jokes in there for the whole family to enjoy and I would highly recommend it to anyone with small kids particularity those who know and love the book.
